Khalid was recently honored by the El Segundo Rotary Club in recognition of his outstanding service, leadership, and dedication to our community. In addition to his commitment on emergency calls, Khalid plays a significant role in bringing our community together through events such as the El Segundo Rock & Run 5K and the annual Charity Hockey Game, helping strengthen the connection between the Fire Department and the residents we proudly serve.

A lifelong South Bay resident and El Segundo High School graduate, Khalid consistently demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to serving others. His positive impact extends well beyond the fire station, making him a deserving recipient of this year's honor.

The regional exercise helps emergency agencies:
✔️ Evaluate emergency alert systems
✔️ Improve regional coordination
✔️ Test alerts on international mobile devices ahead of FIFA World Cup 26
✔️ Increase public awareness of emergency notifications
