Wednesday Recap:
The teens heard and took notes on an amazing word from Pastor Robert Madu out of the book of Matthew: 20:1-7 The Parable of the workers in the vineyard, called “It’s Not Fair.” We celebrated 2 of our amazing teens upcoming birthdays, Meloni and La'Mar!
Notes:
1.) Are you disappointed because of what happened… or because of what you expected would happen? Most of the pain and frustration in your life is not from what happened, it's from what you expected. When life feels unfair, it’s easy to compare your story to someone else’s and wonder why things worked out differently. But peace comes when you stop measuring your life against other people and start trusting the character of God.
2.) God chose you. God's grace will always continue to reach out to you. He is always looking for you to receive what he is providing.
3.) You know you're a 6am worker when; you always have a grumble. Are your complaints louder than your praise? Gratitude is the antidote for complaining, bitterness and being stuck.
4.) You know you're a 6am worker when; you expect what was never promised. Are you mad at God for expecting something he never promised you?
5.) You know you're a 6am worker when; you struggle to celebrate other people
6.) You know you're a 6am worker when; you think God owes you. Don't let your faithfulness become entitlement. God doesn't owe you anything because he's already gave us everything, Jesus.
7.) Check your hands- you're a 6am worker when you always have your hands out instead of up.
One group has a contract, the other group has trust. One group is trusting the compensation, the other group says "I just trust the consistent character of the landowner." One group is walking by agreement, the other group is walking by faith. In every parable of Jesus, you got to ask yourself "Who are you in the story?." The landowner position is taken. Are you the 6am or 5pm crew? Has 6am been creeping in, have I been grumbling and complaining or feeling entitled?

"Helping hands are better than praying lips" Mother Teresa
meaning- that taking physical action to help someone in need is more valuable than just praying for them. It emphasizes that compassion must be put into practice to truly make a difference.
Praying Lips: Praying provides comfort, words alone cannot feed a hungry person or heal the sick.
Helping Hands: Represents tangible service and action. It means rolling up your sleeves, volunteering, or donating to solve a physical or emotional problem.
Intentions and prayers are important, they are most effective when paired with direct, loving action!
These teens served their community well!
