Meet the Authors:

Wacinque Amistad Kaizen BeMende is a retired Master Sergeant and founder of Blount-United Community Credit Union. Through his book, “Awaken to Abundance: The Roadmap to Financial Freedom and Legacy,” he shares tools for financial empowerment and community growth.

Dr. Shunda Carr, CEO, counselor, and author of the acclaimed “The Manual…” book series, specializes in mental health. She developed the J-FIVE Goal Setting Program for athletes and serves communities in Texas, Georgia, and New Mexico.

Charrissa Corbin, an advisor and certified life coach, is the primary contributor to the J-Five Post Secondary Workbook and Coaches’ Guide. She inspires students through leadership and engagement initiatives in higher education.

Kay Leyda, a young adult author, crafts tales inspired by the wonder of her own youth. Her stories invite readers to explore new worlds and rediscover the magic of imagination.

Dr. Jackeline Biddle Richard, Afro-Latina leader and founder of JBR Immigration, overcame adversity to become a trailblazer in nursing, law, and education. Her memoir, “Unbroken: A Journey from Pain to Power,” details her inspiring journey.

Alessandra Narváez Varela, poet and educator, is the author of “Thirty Talks,” a novel in verse for young adults. Her work merges poetry and storytelling, resonating with readers across languages and cultures.
