ch. Parents are welcome to wait with their children outside until the student is picked up by their teacher. District policy requires parents to have a criminal background check in order to have regular contact with the students. Our main goal is safety and we appreciate your cooperation with this. YWCA Daycare Pickup: Parents may now park in the back and enter the cafeteria from the back at the courtyard when picking up students from the YWCA program. This will allow us to lock the front doors to insure the safety of the students in the program. Parent Involvement: Education is a partnership between home and school. We value parent involvement at every level and encourage you to partner with us. We would like to encourage parents to complete the volunteer packet. The packet includes a background check for the safety of our children. This documentation will allow you not just to volunteer, but to chaperon school functions. Our Philosophy: We understand that your child comes to us with unique experiences, interests and learning styles. Our goal is to truly know your child well and use this knowledge to guide, support and motivate him or her. We believe that good teaching requires continual professional development, personal reflection and collaboration.
