The Health Communication and Risk Perception (HCRP) Laboratory within the School of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at El Paso focuses on three research areas:

1) Health Communication
2) Risk Perception
3) Cancer Disparities Among Hispanics

Research topics include infectious diseases, vaccine acceptance/uptake, and licit and illicit drug use.

There are several ongoing studies in the lab investigating factors associated with accepting the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine and COVID-19 vaccines.
