SEDC Recital 2026🩵🪩✨

What a way to end our 17th season! This has been an amazing year. We had countless specialty and judges awards this season, receiving the highest awarded contemporary routine of the weekend at Rainbow for our routine, “Starman,” receiving 11 buzzers and the highest scoring routine of the whole competition at ID with our Line, “Recovery,” and placing in the top overall placements a total of 99 times throughout the season. We are thankful for our dancers and dance families for making this all possible. And, of course, we thank our fearless leader & our entire hardworking SEDC staff! There’s nothing quite like our 💚💚💚

⭐️SEDC Senior Spotlight⭐️

This is Gracie Cook! She is 17 years old, from Edwardsville Illinois, where she will graduate from EHS!🐯She started dance at 7-8 years old, joining us when she was 9! Her favorite memory with SEDC was performing “The Chain” and being able to come back this year for her senior season.

Gracie says, “Dance has changed me by allowing me to express myself in so many ways and pushing myself even when it gets difficult. No matter what kind of day I had that day, I could go to dance, leave my bad day at the door, and tell a different story through the routines.”

Gracie is performing with this summer & will be attending Chicago Center of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University next Fall to get her BFA in Musical Theater with a dance concentration!
