The Long Live thank you tour rolls on..

From June through January we played about 20 shows, but the real work happened long before we ever had an audience.
This was the biggest production we’ve ever attempted. Months of 3+ hour rehearsals, constant setlist adjustments, musical transitions to cover costume changes, and a LOT of trial and error to turn an idea into a full story on stage.

Because the show told the story of Taylor’s career, we were constantly updating things along the way. Songs were added, songs were cut, and sometimes the band had to learn something new with very little notice (sorry, friends🙃)

And every single time, they just made it happen.

I’m the one with the unending knowledge of Tay-lore in the group and most of the ideas for this show started with me walking into rehearsal or sending them a text with a new concept, transition, or last-minute change. These guys just went with it and brought every one of those ideas to life-no matter how many times I changed or added something.

Fun fact: Taylor Made also had alternate players for a few of our members in case of a conflict. They had to learn a 3 hour show, keep up with all the set list changes, and different arrangements without knowing if they would actually get to play. Thank you so much to Tom, Jason, and Mark 🥁🎸🤘

I also want to recognize our front of house manager, Paul, who mixed the entire show for both the audience and our in-ear monitors, processed all the background vocals, hauled our trailer to every show, and handled so much of the behind-the-scenes work that people never see. Honestly, Paul does so much that I don’t even know to list it all for you. I just know he does it all exceptionally well (probably while listening to Pink Floyd) and is truly one of the biggest beating hearts of this band. Love you, friend! 💕

I get to stand at the front of the stage, I get to do the meet and greets, I get nearly all the friendship bracelets..but this show only works because of the talent and dedication of the people behind me.

I’m incredibly proud of what we built together.

Happy trails to our drummer, Jared as well, and thank you for giving him such a wonderful send off of love! We are going to miss you so much, Jared!
