We spent a lovely morning at St Florian Abbey with the Silvertones, on tour in Austria!

Located just outside the city of Linz, St Florian is one of Austria’s largest and most beautiful Baroque monasteries -- and an important destination for musicians. Founded in the 9th century and rebuilt in grand Baroque style in the 1600s, it's known for its magnificent church, its historic library, and as the burial place of composer Anton Bruckner, who served as the abbey’s organist.

As a tribute, they sang a few lines of 'Os Justi', one of Bruckner's most famous motets, which he dedicated to Ignaz Traumihler, the choirmaster of St Florian Abbey at the time -- making its performance there all the more special.

Every one of our US Tour Managers have participated in a college choral program, so the National Collegiate Choral Organization holds a special place in our heart. We are always so pleased to be a part of their regular conference, and this year was no exception. Thanks for having us in sunny Fullerton, CA!

This year’s North America retreat found our staff in Morocco at the edge of the Sahara Desert! We’re always grateful for these times when we can be together, and getting to know a spectacular part of the world is quite the treat. Special thanks to our new friends at the Riad Caravane for taking such great care of us. ☀️🏝️🐪🇲🇦❤️

The Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra closed their tour with a very special joint concert. They shared the stage of Porto's Casa da Música with the Afghan Youth Orchestra, who has been in exile in Braga, Portugal since 2021. The concert repertoire included pieces by American, Afghan, and Portuguese composers and the groups enjoyed lunch together and playing for and with each other in an exchange that afternoon.
