Pride matters because people matter.

Representation matters… because when people can see themselves reflected in a community, they know they belong. They know they are welcomed, valued, and loved for who God created them to be.

For many LGBTQIA+ people, finding a faith community has not always been easy. Too often, churches have been places of exclusion rather than belonging. Pride reminds us that there is still important work to do in creating communities where everyone can show up fully as themselves without fear of judgment or rejection.

As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, ELC celebrates the beautiful diversity of God’s creation. We believe every person is a beloved child of God, worthy of dignity, respect, and love.
