Vintage 1960s Danish MCM Teak Desk with Drop-Leaf and Moveable Drawers

Beautiful Danish mid-century modern desk with all the clean lines and thoughtful design details you’d expect from Scandinavian furniture. The desk features a drop-leaf extension that easily expands the work surface when you need extra space and folds down when you don’t.

One of the coolest features is the floating drawer unit, which can be positioned on either side of the desk. Whether you’re right-handed or left-handed, you can configure the layout to suit your workspace and workflow. The drawers offer plenty of storage while maintaining the desk’s light, airy profile.

The desk is in original vintage condition with the typical signs of age and wear you would expect from a well-loved 65-year-old piece of furniture. Nothing that detracts from its beauty or functionality, just the character that comes with decades of use.

There is no maker’s mark present, but the design is very much in the style of Aksel Boll Jensen and Arne Vodder, with the same emphasis on clean lines, thoughtful functionality, and beautifully proportioned Danish modern craftsmanship. Additionally, it’s designed to look just as good from the back as it does from the front, so it can easily float in a room.

Dimensions:
56” Wide x 27.5” Deep x 28.5” Tall (expanded)
41” Wide (collapsed)
20” Width of leg opening

Rare Vintage 1960s MCM Ercol Blonde Drop Leaf Round Dining Table by Lucien Ercolani in England

Vintage Ercol drop leaf table made in the United Kingdom, with all the simple, practical design details Ercol is known for. Solid elm and beech construction, warm honey tones, and those classic tapered legs that give it such an easy mid century look without trying too hard. The drop leaves fold down to save space or open up when you need a larger surface.

You don’t come across these very often in the US, especially in this style and condition. It’s one of those pieces that works just as well in a small dining space as it does tucked into a corner as a multipurpose table. Clean, functional, and really well made.

Designed by Lucian Ercolani, the Italian-born designer who founded Ercol in England in the 1920s. He became known for blending traditional British woodworking with simple modern forms, creating furniture that was practical, beautifully crafted, and built to last. His designs have stayed relevant for decades because they feel understated and timeless rather than trend-driven.

Early Vintage MCM Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller “Sofa Compact” daybed sofa, circa 1950s

Early Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller “Sofa Compact” daybed sofa, circa 1955–1960. An iconic example of American mid-century modern design, featuring the original cylindrical back cushions, slim enameled steel frame, stainless steel legs, and surviving early Herman Miller upholstery tag.

This piece retains its original upholstery and spring suspension system, showcasing the clean, architectural minimalism that made the Eames Sofa Compact one of the duo’s most enduring designs. Designed in 1954 for Herman Miller, the model was intended to bring sophisticated modern design into smaller urban interiors without sacrificing comfort or presence.

Notably sourced from Seattle’s historic Blakeley Building, designed by architect Roland Terry, the same architect behind the legendary Canlis Restaurant. The connection adds a compelling Pacific Northwest modernist provenance to an already highly collectible design.

Purchased new for the Blakeley Building in the 1950s, the sofa remained there continuously until being recently acquired. Overall, it presents beautifully and remains in great vintage condition, with age-appropriate wear and a few small tears throughout consistent with decades of use. A rare and authentic early production example with exceptional provenance, strong period character, and striking visual presence.

Dimensions:
72.5” W × 30” D × 35” H
Seat height: 16”
