What are my 5 essentials for mastering your weekly planning?

1️⃣ Prioritize! This one gets missed a lot for my fellow ADHD friends. Instead we just dive into the next thing that captures our attention. However, to make progress on our big picture goals, we must take the time to lay it all out, evaluate everything and prioritize what is really going to move the needle in the upcoming week.
2️⃣ Map it out - Taking time to lay out what each day looks like in a weekly schedule is going to give you clarity on how much free space you have in your calendar each week. For example: some weeks you're going to be booked on a lot of calls and meetings. Those aren't the weeks for a lot of back end business tasks and putting a lot of those on your list for the week is going to lead to feeling like you failed. But if you haven't mapped out your week ahead of time, it's difficult to identify those trends.
3️⃣ Identify your big 3! For most of us, our lives are very full. We have families and pets and kid obligations and household responsibilities and partners. Adding a ton of extras each week isn't realistic. Out of those things you've identified in step one and with the time you have identified in step 2, identify what your top 3 "extra" goals or focus areas are for the week. If you have something BIG going on, perhaps it's just one.
4️⃣ Visual scheduling - For people with ADHD, conceptualizing time is challenging. This is why planners that don't allow you to visualize time with a time blocked schedule feel so hard to use. Give yourself hourly time blocked visual scheduling and you'll be able to clearly see where you have gaps in your day and how much time is in each gap so that you can identify what to plug in there.
5️⃣ Food! I know this seems basic, but for those of us with ADHD, food always seems like a struggle. Weekly meal planning and making sure you've thought out your meals each day are going to save you a lot of mental load and reduce stress. Then, make sure you're blocking time in your daily schedule to actually eat.

A few months ago, I saw Miranda Leach Collective share this affirmation and it stopped me in my tracks!

I grabbed my planner, wrote it down and told myself I would integrate it into my daily planning & affirmation practice.

And then....I didn't. At least not right away or consistently.

I'm not sure what shifted, but within the last several weeks, I have been using it. Every dang day, it's the same one. THIS ONE, that I write down as my daily affirmation in my daily planning.

I don't exactly know how to describe how things have changed, but they have! Here are some examples:

💥 Finally, after 4 years I developed the confidence to book & take brand photos!
💥 I'm stepping up into my glow-up era with better skincare, hair care and starting the process to glow-up my personal style
💥 I've upgraded my daily jewelry with pieces that I love and also that hold spiritual meaning for me.
💥 I'm being recognized as the expert that I am in my industry! [Sought after for speaking gigs, growth on my IG account, referrals and booking more sales calls!]
💥 I have people telling me that I'm beautiful, a star, a genius and more!
