Fear of "unknown" is the best tactic insurance companies use to gets us. Its worse when comes to health. Families purchase more health insurance and preventive medicine out those fear. Families misconceptions and fear of catastrophic health expenditures are major factors leading to the purchase of high premium plans. Improved and accessible information should help families make informed decisions.

Pure direct primary care practices do not accept any form of health insurance. The DPC physicians don't work for insurance companies as they don't get paid by them. They really work for the patients and provide more personalized care to them directly as they get paid by patient directly.
Families are encouraged to look more into Direct primary care (DPC), which is permitted under the Affordable Care Act and complements low-premium, high-deductible health insurance plans and help them choose wisely among the options they have during open-enrollment.
