(5 IFRS standards every GCC finance professional must know — and where most go wrong:

1. IFRS 15 — Revenue is recognised when performance obligations are met, not when cash arrives.

2. IFRS 16 — Operating leases are now on your balance sheet. Your ratios changed whether you noticed or not.

3. IFRS 9 — Impairment is forward-looking now. You cannot wait for a default to act.
