The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley ROTC is a premier leadership program that partners with both University and Community organizations to promote the values and ethics that develops students into leaders of the United States Army.
At lab, we learned how to build a terrain model, turning a map into a 3D version so you can really see hills, valleys, and key features. These terrain models help to read the land and plan the mission.

Spring break may have ended, but the commitment is just beginning. This week during our lab, Cadet Garza contracted, taking the next step toward service, leadership, and responsibility. Contracting represents more than an obligation, it’s a pledge to uphold the Army values, embrace discipline, and lead from the front. We’re proud to see Cadet Garza return from spring break locked in, motivated, and ready to continue. 🇺🇸
