Well, it’s been an amazing ride! As I prepare to crown my successor and am reflecting on my reign, I am so proud of the woman I see in the mirror. I am a latecomer to the pageant game After years of simply existing, after giving away my power, and with self-confidence that was non-existent, I never imagined that I would grace a National pageant stage. But I did. I stepped out on Faith with no hopes other than to challenge myself and grow in my confidence. Bring crowned a titleholder was surreal. When looking back at my reign, I hope that people remember my willingness and heart for service, I hope people see an example of what they think of when they hear the word “Queen”, that they see themselves in me, see the possibilities inside, and feel encouraged and supported to try new things and realize how amazing they are. Remember as long as you have the “Power to Dream” anything is possible.
To my incredible 2021 sister queens, thank you for your love and the sisterhood that we have built, this is only the beginning.
