This training equips school teams with practical tools to identify concerning behaviors, assess risk, and respond appropriately.

Mentorship is at the heart of Prevent 2 Protect.

Our regional mentors build trusted relationships with youth and families, offering consistency, guidance, encouragement, and connection during some of the most difficult moments in a young person's life.

Sometimes prevention starts with something simple but powerful: knowing someone is there for you 🫂

We're proud to support schools in the management of high-risk youth by lifting the burden and providing multidisciplinary support, consultation, intervention, and services for students and families.

Through collaboration with schools, mental health professionals, law enforcement, and community partners, Prevent 2 Protect helps ensure schools are not navigating high-risk situations alone 🤝 🏫

Prevent 2 Protect continues to grow rapidly and support youth and families across Michigan through individualized intervention, mentorship, mental health support, and community collaboration focused on prevention before crisis.

Every participant represents the importance of early intervention, connection, and hope.

Our groundbreaking project launched the first P2P Intensive Support Team three years ago to prevent adolescent-targeted violence through a multidisciplinary lens.

In those short years, we've received over 130 referrals for our ISTs and completed 77 community consultations.

These numbers are evidence of the gap Prevent 2 Protect fills. We're thankful to the educators, law enforcement personnel, and health care professionals collaborating with us over the years as we support high-risk students, assist communities through consultation services, and educate community professionals with training programs grounded in research and best practice 🧠 🌈
