Port EPN is deeply committed to advocating for our international bridge system, which lies at the very heart of our community and regional economy. Ensuring these ports of entry remain fluent and efficient is our top priority.

Growing frustration with current bridge delays has brought together a strong coalition of business leaders and regional stakeholders. To address these critical infrastructure and operational challenges, we have reached out to U.S. Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, Congressman Henry Cuellar, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the CBP Commissioner. Furthermore, we have engaged with the general election candidates across our two federal districts: Brandon Herrera (R) and Katy Padilla Stout (D) for TX-23, and Henry Cuellar (D) and Tano Tijerina (R) for TX-28.

Yesterday, we met with TX-23 candidate Brandon Herrera for a highly productive, open, and respectful conversation. We are grateful for his time and his immediate understanding of the urgency and critical importance of this situation. We look forward to seeing actionable results from this dialogue.

We look forward to our upcoming meetings with the other three candidates. We will keep the community closely updated on our progress.
