Summit For Wellness

Located 300 miles Southwest of Anchorage, Brooks Falls is home to the highest concentration of bears in the world. You would think that would be intimidating, but turns out if there is enough food for all the bears, they really don't care about humans at all.

This was our first day at Brooks Falls. We arrived by float plane and had to get our campsite setup. Luckily there is so much daylight in Alaska that even after traveling and setup, we still had plenty of time to go see the bears!

Every year we've been trying to explore more of the Washington coast, and on this trip we went from Rialto Beach to Cedar Creek. It's about a 10 mile hike along the beach to get there.

But beach walking is a lot different than mountain walking. On paper it looks pretty easy but between the slick seaweed-covered rocks and me mis-timing the tide charts, it was way more difficult than it should've been 😂
