Happy Featured Fiber Friday! We've featured this yarn before but we just got in a restock and 💫NEW COLORS💫

Misti Alpaca is a family-run company in Peru that does beautiful alpaca and Peruvian Pima cotton yarns. The Tonos Pima Silk Handpaint is comprised of 83% Peruvian Pima Cotton and 17% silk for an ultra soft and silky feel, perfect for any project that will touch bare skin 😍

Tonos Pima Silk Handpaint is a DK weight yarn with each skein having approximately 327 yards, making it a great choice for a wide array of projects, including ones for folks who are allergic to wool! We think this yarn is just perfect for a breezy summer top and we now have it in 15 different colors

Featured Fiber Friday and a couple announcements!

First up, our pick for today's Featured Fiber Friday is Knitting for Olive Pure Silk. Made of 100% Bourette Silk, which is a essentially a waste product from silk processing, this yarn makes beautifully soft, lightweight, cool garments, perfect for our recent and upcoming weather.

With 273 yards of fi*****ng weight yarn in each ball, many of our staff and customers love to hold this yarn double to mimic DK weight yarn and quickly whip up garments and accessories. We carry 20 different colors of this line, with a little bit of everything for everyone, whether you like it bright or more demure

For shop announcements, due to slower traffic in July, we will be moving to only being OPEN 10-3 on Tuesdays, 10-8 on Thursdays, and 10-3 on Saturdays. Stitch and spin groups will still run as normal. So that means we will be CLOSED on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, as well as our normal Sundays

We will also be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th, to observe Independence Day

It's a beautiful Featured Fiber Friday! Today, we're taking a look at an often overlooked yarn at the shop: Tonos Pima Silk Hand Paint by Misti Alpaca

If you think you're not a cotton fan, you should definitely give pima cotton a try. It tends to have a softer, more luxurious and plush feel to it than even your softer standard cottons. Then blend it with 17% silk? Decadent and perfect for that summer top pattern you've been eyeing without being too delicate

It's DK weight which makes it perfect for hundreds of lightweight patterns, while being a heavy enough yarn to not take forever to work up. Each skein has about 327 yards to it, making it easy to make a project out of 2-3 skeins. Plus those colors? Stunning and screaming summer for any color preference
