We are trained horticulturists, artists, foragers, cooks, community planners, and propagation specialists. We hope you love the new

June’s Plant of the Month: Milkweed!
The ONLY host plant and food source for monarch butterflies, this is a pollinator magnet. In our store, we only carry temperate North American milkweeds since tropical milkweed (while tall and flashy) blooms too late and can confuse migrating monarchs to halt their journey south. In store we carry:
1. Asclepias tuberosa: bright orange blooms, drought tolerant once established, compact/busy, 1-3ft tall
2. Asclepias incarnata ‘Milkmaid’: white blooms, keep soil moist until established, upright/airy, 3-5ft tall.
3. Asclepias incarnata ‘Cinderella’: pink blooms with sweet fragrance, keep soil moist until established, tall/upright, 4-5ft

Another pollinator highlight! False Indigo (Baptisia) boasts multiple seasons of interest and pollinator support starting with its flowers, turning into summer seed pods and extending food to pollinators into winter. Tell us which color/variety is your favorite !👇
