July is Extreme Heat Awareness Month. As temperatures rise, staying safe in the heat becomes more important than ever, especially on construction sites.

Here are a few quick heat safety reminders from Jeff Coyne, our general superintendent:
· Drink water and use electrolytes
· Cooling stations with misters and shaded benches
· Avoid dehydrating drinks like caffeine and alcohol
· Pace yourself. Take breaks in the shade if possible
· Wear sunscreen, as well a cooling neck wrap or bandana
