Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in American history and celebrates the contributions of Black communities.
Through a new Bass Connections project, Duke students and faculty will explore how Juneteenth celebrations across Durham, Raleigh and Pittsboro, North Carolina help shape identity, collective memory and understandings of freedom today.
