Bet on yourself! Too often we allow self sabotaging thoughts and ideas to prevent us from taking the leap of faith our hearts are yearning for us to make.
We sometimes disregard the guidance of the Holy Spirit and say no to opportunities designed for us to grow and win.
We don’t look at situations from the eyes of God, but from our own limiting perspectives, when faced with experiences we’ve never encountered before or that stretches us past our boarders of comfort. We must learn to shift the narrative in our minds to see the possibilities and not make up impossibilities based on our narrowed view.
Co-creating The Emerge Experience, and launching the inaugural event in Houston was God’s handiwork.
I came very close to not even asking my client for the permission to create something that would be added to the official event line up to the and also engage the entrepreneurs in . My friend and sister encouraged me to make the ask.
So, I pulled up my big boy britches, outlined the opportunity, and instead of backing down in fear of rejection; I stepped up, made the ask, and got the yes!
The work really began then. I knew this was much bigger than me and I knew I could not do it alone, so I presented the opportunity to and after a couple of calls to establish the mission, vision, goals and intentions; she agreed to share in this experience as a co-creator and the rest is history.
I say all that to say. Because I said yes; others were able to say yes. So many connects were made, conversations had; ideas exchanged, and collaborations to create; all because of one yes.
