What a weekend for SwingPals!

Daniel, Deon, and Kamere represented SwingPals at the Drip Golf Tour’s Greensboro Junior Open at Bryan Park, competing admirably and showing the confidence, character, and sportsmanship that make us so proud.

As a special highlight, the students had the unforgettable opportunity to spend time with future Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Kamere even got the chance to share the SwingPals process and impact with Ben.

A big thank you to the Drip Golf Tour and CEO Jeff Daner for welcoming our students and helping create such a memorable experience.

We are incredibly proud of these students and grateful for experiences like this that help them grow both on and off the course.

Cary Academy students are stepping up for the Durham community!

Zofia, CA Class of 2029, and Audrey, CA Class of 2030, recently met with Coach Hodges to donate golf clubs for his SwingPals students.

Coach Hodges shared, “Zofia and Audrey are two more examples of today’s youth stepping up as leaders in our community.”

They are already looking for more ways to secure much-needed junior clubs and find new, creative ways to support Coach Hodges’ work in Durham.

What’s in your control?

Today’s Mindful Monday activity gave our students a powerful visual reminder: life is a lot like a game controller 🎮

We asked a simple but important question: “What can I control?”

Using this controller exercise, students identified the areas that are truly in their hands:
✨ Their reactions
✨ Their emotions
✨ Their thoughts
✨ Their actions
✨ What they say
✨ Their effort
✨ Their mindset
✨ Their body language
✨ Their movement, skills, and even how they choose to spend their time

Watching students pause, reflect, and realize that even when life feels overwhelming, they still have power.

This is how we build self-awareness and help young people take ownership of their lives.

Small lessons. Big impact. 💭💚
