⏪ Wednesday rewind to when Douglas Development Corporation, a top DC area real estate developer, teamed up with Finley Design for a new residential project in Capitol Heights, MD. The goal was to design a cost-effective, mid-rise HUD-financed apartment complex achieving max density on a sloping site. Despite COVID-related challenges in 2021, Finley’s innovative, economical design strategy succeeded. Addison Row passed HUD inspections with ease, was built on budget, and leased quickly, leading to an immediate Phase 2 contract.
