Last weekend, Jordan put on a suit and stepped into a moment every teenager dreams about—prom. ❤️✨

But behind the pictures, the smiles, and the memories being made… there’s a reality most will never see.

My baby is still waiting.
Waiting to get on the heart transplant list.
Waiting while still on hospice.
Waiting while time feels like it’s moving too fast and too slow all at once.

And yet… he still chose to LIVE an amazing evening.

He chose to show up.
He chose to smile.
He chose to be a teenager, even with the weight of the world sitting on his chest—literally and figuratively.

I watched him, and my heart broke and swelled at the same time. Because how can you be so proud and so scared in the same breath?

This isn’t just prom.
This is strength.
This is courage.
This is a reminder that even in the middle of uncertainty, life doesn’t stop—and neither does he.

So last weekend, we celebrate Jordan.
Not just for going to prom… but for fighting every single day to still be here to experience it.

Your journey began with strength from the very start—open heart surgery at just 5 days old. From being held back in 1st grade to facing challenges that would’ve broken most people, you kept pushing forward. You never gave up. You grew stronger, wiser, and more determined with every obstacle placed in your path.

Now here you are at 18, standing in faith and courage, preparing for your second heart transplant. Your resilience, your fight, and your spirit amaze me every single day. Every challenge, every victory, every tear, every prayer—worth it.

Meet Crystal Campbell from Vanceboro, NC! This is her first year as a Rams Club member, and has experienced some truly special moments in it. Through Make-A-Wish, her son Jordan, a heart transplant recipient, attended his first Carolina Football game this season and got to watch his cousin CJ Mims play.

“This Thanksgiving, as a mom and teacher in NC, we are so thankful for life, family, and a great support system. Each day is a blessing,” says Crystal 🩵
