Rafting Season is Upon Us in Durango, Colorado and is just around the corner 🚣🌊
The Animas River runs through the heart of Durango, Colorado and rafting and fishing are two of the best activities to enjoy during the Spring and Summer. The Animas River Trail runs along the river offering incredible views of the water, wildlife and train as you walk, bike or skate along the trail.

There are many places to access the Animas River Trail in Durango for fishing, walking, biking, swimming, rafting or a picnic, and they are all really close to the Gable House Bed & Breakfast. You can easily walk or bike from the to Santa Rita Park along the Animas River Trail to enjoy river views, a small beach on the river, sightseeing, a playground, sports fields, volleyball courts and more.
There are several top notch rafting companies in Durango and it’s easy to get to all of their meet up points for adventures on the Animas River while staying at the Gable House. If you are visiting Durango this Spring or Summer and staying with us, we highly recommend our house made breakfast before your day of adventure in Durango.
