The hardest workout on campus is officially under construction 🚧

If you’ve spent any time at Penn State Scranton, you probably know which spot we’re talking about.
Hint: Your calves definitely remember it. 😅

The Stairway to Heaven is getting a facelift this summer with redesigned steps featuring a gentler grade and an updated look. When students return this fall, they’ll be welcomed by a safer, more accessible and refreshed pathway.

We can’t wait to show you the finished project this fall! 💙

We are pleased to announce that Menah Pratt has been named regional chancellor for the Hazleton, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre campuses, effective August 1.

Dr. Pratt currently serves as vice president for strategic affairs and professor of education at Virginia Tech and brings extensive experience to her new role, including strategic planning, enrollment and student success initiatives, faculty development, academic leadership, and organizational effectiveness.

We are looking forward to working with her on the important work at each of our campuses currently underway in support of students, faculty, staff and the communities we serve.

Engineering students conduct solar feasibility study for conservation district 06/03/2026

What happens when students tackle real-world challenges? Innovation, collaboration and meaningful impact.

In this project, mechanical engineering students partnered with Monroe County Conservation District, a local environmental conservation nonprofit, developing a practical, sustainable solution to their building's frequent power outages, that could make a lasting difference.

Through research, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, they transformed their ideas into a viable plan with real-world potential.
