A Canadian man from Nova Scotia has driven his 1985 Toyota Tercel an astonishing 1,253,070 kilometers, keeping it in mint condition and ready for another million.

Andy Campbell, who bought the car in 1990 for $2,500, maintains it himself, stocking spare tires, heater motors, and radiator fans.

The odometer can’t display the full mileage, but Campbell has proof of its first million. He even keeps a “backup” 1986 Tercel.

Toyota’s reputation for durability is legendary, with other owners logging over two million miles in models like the Tundra and Corolla, sometimes on the original engine.

In 2016, Victor Sheppard hit 1 million miles on his Toyota Tundra. It took 9 years, and once Toyota found out, they flew in multiple chief engineers to inspect the truck rolled out a red carpet, and hired a band to celebrate the moment. They bought the truck back and gave him a new one for free.
