Olde Rage

We started our preparations for the Ramones Tribute today. We have made it a habit over the years to play a Ramones song or two at rehearsal throughout the year so that we are sharp in the event that we are invited back to play again, and we're grateful to be asked to play again this year. We've been attending this event for decades and to be part of it for the last half dozen installments has been a great pleasure and honor.

This year will be the first time that the Ramones Tribute is held on the Moon Tower stage at Dunedin Brewery.

We're excited to finally get OR bassist John Mahoney involved in this event. So to celebrate his first Ramones Tribute, OR guitarist Michael James Salyers painted this piece of John killing it on the Moon Tower stage at the recent Punk Rock Holiday in Dunedin from this past New years.

Here it is, a new year! For a band that unexpectedly materialized two weeks before Covid hit, we're still here, like a pebble in your shoe, uncomfortable, but oddly satisfying. Whatever that means.

We have some things in the works for the new year. A trip to St. Pete on January 10 at the invitation of our pals in 51 Boneyard, and a very special show in early February at Caledonia Brewing with our friends Heidi's Arcade and Boney Fiend. That night, all three bands will be playing all-80s sets.

We have a few new songs and a couple of more in the works, so we are planning on recording again and hopefully doing a second record.

Speaking of, the Viva Everything! record is still out there on all platforms, and since July 2023, has earned a total of $21, it costs $25 a year to keep it posted, so this year it only costs us $4 to give it away for free. Give it a spin when you can, they're good songs and we can use the algorithm help. Maybe share a tune on your social things.

Let's continue to enjoy it while we still can. It's easy to stay home, but way more fun to go out and rock with friends!

OR TV sighting! There's a new series on Hulu called Into The Void: Life, Death, and Heavy Metal.

Episode 4 is about Chuck Shuldiner from Death, and a young, beardless Michael James Salyers from 1990 appears in the first 30 seconds. The clip was from a pretty well known documentary. The episode is also available on YouTube. Very good series!
