Beef prices are expected to raise another 15% this year. Texas experienced a horrible drought this year, forcing ranchers to sell their herd low or buy more hay than before. Hay prices were 3-4x higher than usual, if you could find it. We have made 4-6 hour round trip drives to keep our herd fed. And even today, when Texas is frozen, cows still need to be fed. Support local ranchers and pray for the cowboys.
