r’s emergency preparedness districts the opportunity to serve their community with their amateur radio service skills. The DHRA holds a weekly public safety net for licensed hams to test their equipment, improve operating skills, pass message traffic and prepare for emergency operation in the event of a real emergency, under the auspices of the City of Draper Emergency Preparedness District Representatives Committee and conducted in support of and in cooperation with the public safety efforts of local, state, and national emergency response organizations. This net is conducted weekly on Thursday evenings at 8:30pm at 447.100 Mhz, -5 MHz input offset, with a tone of 100 Hz, except for the 4th Thursday evening of the month. The DHRA operates and maintains the Draper 70 cm repeater, KG7EGM, according to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) we have with the City of Draper, Utah. Should the repeater not be working, we will operate in simplex mode at 447.100 MHz. We encourage all licensed operators in and around the City of Draper to understand emergency preparedness for themselves and their families and for their community, to learn how to operate their radio equipment and to train in proper radio skills and protocols in the event of an emergency where emergency response is needed.
