This is from a chilly night back in early December. We're looking southeast from Buffalo Point on Antelope Island. I took multiple shots and combined a couple so the dark foreground would show a little detail. We've been watching an Idaho geology professor on YouTube (Shawn Willsey if anyone's interested) who explained the rock layers here. The Farmington Complex is the lower layer and goes back 1.8 billion years! The layer above that was deposited at a time when the Earth was covered in glaciers. It was slightly warmer that night. :)

When the weather rolls in here, the photo ops are plentiful even if you are in a parking lot. A little photoshopping can take you places. :)
