This was a pretty dirty carpet!

Hi everyone, I’d like to start by hoping everyone is healthy and is heeding all the precautions. Wash those hands etc. I’m home right now like many of you. I’m also trying to figure out how I can help my community since I have a carpet cleaning service. Carpets are reservoirs for viruses and bacteria. The time frame is not in yet for this corona virus, but many viruses have the capability to remain viable from 12 to 28 days. Cleaning your hard surfaces is easy but carpets not so much. In order to clean and disinfect your carpets you have to extract your carpets with water between 158 and 212 degree water. I also use a quaternary which is a powerful disinfectant to kill bacteria and viruses. I then rinse! So important. This takes out everything that that I used to clean and leaves the carpets with no residue to reduce resoiling. Once a quarantine goes into effect I will not be able to work until it is lifted. See you before or after we beat this corona virus. Stay safe.

Restaurant carpets can be among the most difficult to clean. Cooking greases that are tracked in from the kitchen and airborne grease can coat everything with a layer of oil which attracts and holds dirt, dust and soils. Less expensive companies looking for new work may be offering to do the work for very little money but beware, if they do not rinse the carpet properly, residue will be left in the fibers thus creating rapid resoiling. This will result in carpets which will require cleaning sooner, making that less expensive quote actually quite expensive. Proper professional cleaning can save the budget and maintain the high state of appearance you and your customers will appreciate.
