Sarah runs a 90-person venue in coastal Florida.
Before February:
โ 2 payment stages (deposit + final)
โ 4 couples overdue every year
โ $22K outstanding at any given time
โ Midnight "polite reminder" emails she hated sending
The change: She added a 6-month midpoint payment (35%), automated reminders at 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before each stage, and a $250 late fee clause. Enforced starting day 8.
4 months later: zero overdue payments.
One couple flagged cash flow issues at the midpoint โ 5 months before the wedding. They worked out a split plan. No drama. No midnight emails.
The best part about a payment ladder isn't the money. It's finding out about problems 5 months early instead of 5 days early.
What does your current payment schedule look like? Drop it below.

Melissa left $38,000 on the table last year. For no reason. Here's the math.
Melissa runs a 120-seat venue in a small Michigan town. Last year she booked 38 Saturdays at $5,500 each. Same rate as a Tuesday. Nobody blinked. She was proud of a full calendar.
Year-end math: 38 Saturdays ร a fair $1,000 weekend premium = $38,000 she left on the table.
Thirty-eight thousand dollars. For no reason. Her Saturdays were sold out by March every year. The market would've paid. She just never asked.
What she changed in January:
โ Saturday rate: $5,500 โ $6,800 peak / $6,100 off-peak
โ Friday rate: $5,500 โ $6,000
โ Rate card referenced in the contract template (not the contract itself)
โ Grandfathered every already-signed couple. Zero friction.
Q1 2026: booked 11 Saturdays at the new rate.
Projected full-year add: $42K on the same calendar.
Same venue. Same staff. Same clients. Forty-two thousand more dollars.
The wild part: this is Leak #1 of 15 in the full checklist. There are 14 more like it โ cleaning fees, parking revenue, overtime billing, cancellation policies โ each one worth thousands.

Most venue owners lose deals they should've won โ not because their space is wrong, but because their tour is.
They walk the room. Point at the ceiling. Mention square footage. Hand over a PDF. Then wonder why the tour "went great" and the contract never came back.
That's not a tour. It's a pitch with a clipboard.
I just recorded a full walkthrough of the exact deck I use to turn venue tours into signed contracts. It's the same framework we're using with real venue owners inside the OMG Rentals community.
In the video you'll see:
โ
The 5 sections every tour deck needs
โ
The price-anchor slide most owners skip
โ
Where to drop social proof so it lands
โ
The close that turns "we'll think about it" into a signature
โ
The follow-up timing that stops warm deals from going cold
