When temperatures climb, our animals come first.

Heat stress can affect cattle long before it feels unbearable to us. That’s why we make sure they always have access to fresh, clean water, plenty of shade, and airflow throughout the day. Our barns are equipped with large fans to keep air moving, and our pastures provide natural shade so the herd can escape the heat whenever they choose.

A huge thank you to Tractor Supply for delivering our new industrial fan so quickly. During stretches of extreme heat like this, having reliable equipment to improve airflow makes a real difference in keeping our cattle comfortable.

You’ll often see our herd gathered under trees or inside the barn during the hottest part of the afternoon—not because they’re being moved there, but because they’re naturally seeking the coolest places available. Giving them those options is an important part of responsible animal care.

Even our bees work hard to beat the heat. They collect water, fan their wings to circulate air throughout the hive, and work together to regulate the hive’s temperature so the colony stays healthy.

Caring for animals means paying attention to the little things every single day, especially during a heat wave. Their health, comfort, and well-being will always come first.
