Help us help marshes! Delaware's 125,000 acres of tidal wetlands support flora and fauna, store carbon, fuel our fisheries, boost local economies and protect us from the impacts of climate change. But these productive habitats need our support. Boaters and recreational users can make a big difference to keep our tidal wetlands thriving. Here's how you can do your part:

Slow down near shorelines, marinas and narrow waterways 🚤
Practices responsible recreational activities 🎣
Follow all No Wake Zones 🚫
Stay mindful of localized flora and fauna 🌿
Pay attention to shallow or restricted areas ⚠️

Wetland fungi boast unique adaptations to flourish in humid, low-oxygen and acidic environments. From aquatic spore dispersal to unique enzymes and plant partnerships, they're masters of survival. During a rainy adventure in a forested freshwater wetland, we stumbled upon these fragile fungi gems.
