In the current quest for employee satisfaction, employers frequently allocate substantial resources to trendy, yet not always practical, well-being programs.

We'd like to share how some of our colleagues in customer success from Improve personally incorporated one of our custom habits and the results it produced.

We refer to it as the "industry review," a habit they engage in every day. They open Reddit, search for "employee well-being," and delve into threads where people discuss how their employers take care of them and express their satisfaction.

It became apparent that, more often than not, the majority of employees today prioritize higher wages and reduced working hours over fitness trackers and meditative practices.

They argue that work leaves them with minimal time for themselves and their families, with some even considering generic meditation potentially harmful to health. It's worth noting that online psychologists do attract many, despite concerns that data might be transmitted directly to employers.

This prompted our team to contemplate how we can assist our customers' employees in reducing overtime and enhancing the quality of time spent with their families. Although family matters are considered beyond the employer's reach, we cannot reduce working hours.

We stumbled upon the idea that many workers struggle to keep track of small tasks that don't appear in their calendars but contribute to achieving goals faster and avoiding task confusion, ultimately saving time. Yes, it's a simple to-do list, but created regularly and inclusive of not only work but also personal items. What else could a worker forget in the hustle of a busy workday?

Teams on our customer sites experienced a 70% increase in memory retention by applying this habit in the Improve App. It also reduced stress by 15% and work-life balance complaints by 18% in the Pulse Survey.

Despite the fact that well-being practices suggested by employers often irritate employees, some of them, when executed correctly, can and do bring about positive change.

Redefining Corporate Well-being: An Innovative Approach to Addressing Workplace Toxicity

Modern trends in corporate culture inevitably bring companies face-to-face with the challenges of workplace toxicity. Times have changed, and business leaders are approaching the mental health of their employees more consciously. However, merely looking at the pandemic reveals that traditional approaches do not always yield the desired results.

Mental Health: From Individual to Collective

Our research has revealed that many companies, despite substantial investments in well-being programs, focus on treating symptoms rather than addressing the root of the problem. This is particularly crucial as employees, when asked about factors affecting their mental health, point to issues such as constant readiness for work, lack of fairness, and overload, which require a systemic approach.

Integrated Approach: Habits, Not Programs

In response to these challenges, Improve introduces an integrated approach to addressing workplace toxicity. Our concept is built on cultivating positive habits rather than conventional well-being programs. This approach aims to create a collective culture where every employee actively participates in enhancing psychological well-being.

Habits That Change the World: Real Results

Through the integration of daily habits such as expressing gratitude, actively helping colleagues, self-analysis, and reflection, we witness tangible changes in organizational culture. Employees begin to perceive not only their well-being but also the well-being of their colleagues as an integral part of the company's success.

Conclusion: A Fresh Perspective on Corporate Well-being

In the era of "Great Attrition," where workforce turnover has become the norm, it is time to reconsider the approach to corporate well-being. Integrated habits, fostered within the collective, can be a key factor in creating a healthy and supportive environment.
Therefore, Improve suggests that business leaders reconsider their view of organizational well-being and embrace the challenge of integrated habits as an effective tool for building a healthy and successful business.
