Dover unveils new marker, manhole cover to celebrate birthplace of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dover unveiled two markers on Wednesday honoring the city as the birthplace of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The city will hold an official grand opening ceremony of the new Dover Skate Park at Guppey Park on Saturday, Oct. 21, at noon. The ceremony will occur during the Ryder Street Co Skate Jam, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food trucks and music will be at the competition, and all proceeds will benefit the Dover Children’s Home.
