It’s homecoming season in the south! HOCO is most girls first cocktail dress situation. It is so very important and often times incredibly stressful (especially for the guardian) The styles available in 2023 are often dress code or age inappropriate. I’ve heard over and over “that’s just the style” or “there are no other options”. In these times especially, I think vintage is an INCREDIBLE adoption. There are so so so many great places to find vintage formal wear. We carry some formal wear throughout the year and host a formal trunk show at the beginning of the year.
Other great options are online like where you could sink those dollars into an archival designer dress. I’ve seen incredible dresses as low as $200 that usually retail in the thousands. Chanel, D&G, Louis Vuitton, YSL and all the rest. EBay, Depop, and Poshmark are also great resources to find something fabulous, appropriate and unique.
