Wiregrass Humane Society

We have lots of new followers to this page so we just wanted to introduce Roxy again! Roxy is our shelter ambassador. She is at our shelter during the day greeting visitors, keeping everyone in line and attends events with us. At night she is at home with our managers being spoiled!
Roxy was abandoned in the country with her puppies and we took them all in. Her puppies got adopted but Roxy was unfortunately heavy heartworm positive. She underwent heartworm treatment but had multiple complications and we almost lost her. She also had other complications. Her teeth were in very bad condition and multiple teeth had to be removed. Most recently she had to undergo knee surgery but has healed from that and is back on her feet again and doing well.
Through it all Roxy has been the sweetest most loving dog!! She does not have an aggressive bone in her body. She especially loves kids and getting all the love!! We just love her to death! We knew we just couldn’t part with her and her place was with us and our managers. We are so proud to have her serve as our shelter ambassador and she loves being the ambassador! She has the best pittie smile!! 😁😁. We love you Roxy girl! 💕💕💕
