We are very happy to welcome a new General Manager to the Dorset Union Store- the husband and wife team of Julia and Paul VanDerWielen.

They were high school sweethearts and both earned their Le Grand Diplome de Cuisine from Le Cordon Bleu. After spending years working in kitchens of Boston they moved to Dorset and The Marble West Inn- where the cuisine, service, wine collection, and destination weddings garnered local and international attention. Since 2020, their catering and consulting business, Julia Paul Culinary has continued to serve their clients and support noteworthy brands in the region. Together they bring a global perspective to local ingredients. “Our clients are not just customers, they become collaborators, friends, and family”.

Julia and Paul, along with their two beagles Imogen and Brie will be a welcome addition to the Dorset Union Store. They look forward to working with Rick, Connie, Lori, Ray and the entire DUS staff. “We are excited to join the legacy of the Dorset Union Store and begin a new chapter in the storied history of both a beloved Vermont icon and Dorset community favorite”."
