Airline companies depend on reliable, efficient aircraft fleets to maintain operations, establish positive profitability, and satisfy their passenger’s strict safety and schedule standards. Additionally, when an aircraft filled with hundreds of souls goes missing, drawn out search and rescue (S&R) efforts costs governments millions of dollars each hour an aircraft is unaccounted for . Following a disaster, immediately detecting the location of an aircraft will save nations millions of dollars in S&R cost by finding victims quicker and potentially saving countless lives and family turmoil. In an age dubbed ‘the information age , the public deserves more. An industry based on modern jet aircraft responsible for the lives of millions of paying customers each year should not be disconnected from the world, especially while flying miles in the sky over treacherous, remote areas of the planet. This is simply unacceptable. The ability to monitor aircraft systems and components while an aircraft is in flight was too costly, intermittent, and reserved only for the most expensive, modern aircraft…until now.
