As part of The Disappearing Act project, this next track is rooted in a life-changing journey to Havana in 2024, where we first encountered “Vida Parrandera.” What began as inspiration has become something far deeper.
The timing of this release is intentional.
As Cuba continues to face tightening blockades and worsening energy crises, the reality for everyday people grows more difficult. But what stands out above all is not struggle—it’s strength. The resilience, courage, and unity of the Cuban people is undeniable. While much of the world looks away, their voices persist and this track is our way of amplifying those voices.
In the remix, we’ve included recent messages from our Cuban brothers and sisters. These are not actors, not AI prompts. These are real people choosing to speak honestly about their lives, their challenges, and the hope they continue to find in one another.
They deserve to be heard.
