Want to help kids? 826 Michigan is looking for volunteers for a couple of in-school projects coming up in May. They would be grateful for your support in Detroit!

Voyageur, 12 grade, Tuesdays (5/8 - 5/29) 8:30am - 10:30am
Cass, 9th grade, Fridays (5/11 - 6/8) 8am - 10am
Bunche, 4th grade, Mondays (5/7 - 5/21) Time -To be determined

They ask that volunteers spend some time workshopping with students (usually during the revision process) in small or 1-on-1 groups. Students love to hear about how and why artists do what they do. Email [email protected] for more info.

Young creative thinkers across our three cities inspire us each day through thoughtful writing, working together with classmates, getting to know students in other cities, showing tutors that they have what it takes to see a project through and welcoming help along the way.

With your help, indeed all 3,265 of them are on their way to building a better world. Will you join us and make a meaningful contribution this year to fuel students' academic and creative power in 2018? A gift in any amount makes an impact. If you so choose, donate here: 826michigan.org/donate.
