Life is short, eat the dang chocolate.

My sister and I snuck some chocolate in for my dad this past week and boy did he love that!

If I'm brutally honest this visit to see my Dad brought out a whole bunch of emotions I really wasn't prepared for. Traumatic brain injuries are HARD and nothing about my Dad's situation is fair.. nothing. But we all know that saying about life not being fair and there's nothing we can do to rewind time or fix it, as much as I really wish I could. So we just move forward, one day at a time.

Every day I'm learning something new about myself and the way I'm processing things. It's HARD and it absolutely sucks. If there's any positive, it's that it's brought my Dad and myself and my siblings closer together. He's still his sarcastic, goofy self that we all know and love but I'm still so angry with the girl who caused his accident.

If you're a praying person, I could absolutely use some... that my anger towards the girl who caused his accident would be taken away.. that the grief and guilt I feel would be lifted and for peace and clarity in the decisions to come in the future.

Happy Friday Y’all! Tomorrow is opening rifle season for West River and continuing with the Reservation season here so hunting is in full swing.

I’m patiently waiting my turn while the boys fill some tags with the boys!
