As a dispatcher, not only should you be a good fit for the driver, but the driver needs to be a good fit for you, as well. There should be an interview process on both of your behalves. For me, as committed and flexible as I am to find a day to day, consistent pattern for my carrier, the carrier needs to be committed as well to work together as a team to build the business. If my carrier is not willing to make a 30-90 day commitment to me, then I don’t want to partner. This is a process and I need to know my carrier will trust the process and in it for the long haul.
