"To prepare entry-level Surgical Technologists who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession." We have information sessions listed on our website:

Caring is Sharing -Spring 2026
Another awesome event.
We created close to 100 handbags.
Surgical Technology, Nursing, and Respiratory Therapy students helped create and distribute the handbags along with socks, undergarments, and other needed items to several shelters in the Des Moines area. Students tour each facility when delivering the goods.
The fall event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
Please contact me if you are willing to donate socks, stocking caps, mittens/gloves, coats, blankets, or any cold weather gear.
Our homeless and sheltered community would appreciate any help you can give.

Great job by the students showcasing the DMACC Surgical Technology Program!
Thousands of students from across the state of Iowa attend the event at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
