I am a business of one, so I can say with 100% certainty that HeyGiud believes everyone deserves equal rights. I shouldn’t have to say that but in Iowa right now, it needs to be said.

Reset. Restart. Refocus.
As many times as you need.

Today is National Start Over Day. With HeyGiud's birthday being yesterday it's the perfect time to talk about starting over, that was the ultimate restart in my life. It's never too late to do it, I promise. Sometimes you are completely starting over and sometimes you just have to refocus and adjust your goals and restart. It feels kind of like the 'reset' button on my old 8-bit Nintendo. Didn't like how the game was going? Just start over.

Today, I'm doing that, but from the refocus, adjust, and restart place, not from ground zero. I've been extremely quiet on social, personally and professionally, lately. I keep writing content calendars for HeyGiud when I write them for my clients. I keep adding the content into my planner. I also keep ignoring them and never checking off the boxes. I got in my head about my content not being 'good enough' and kept ignoring it. So you're a business owner or content creator reading this and feel like you're stuck, you are not alone. My job is managing content for small businesses and I couldn't manage my own. If you're feeling ready to start over, go for it, and you don't have to be like me and wait until an anniversary. You don't have to wait until for a Monday or the first of a month or a new year. You can just decide it's time to start over and just hit the reset button on the video game. 🎮

Eight years ago today the universe shoved me off a cliff and HeyGiud was born. It's been the most amazing, challenging, mindblowing, fun, intense, wild, crazy adventure of my life. The ride has been anything but easy, but the great things in life rarely are. I owe a HUGE thank you to my family, friends, mentors, and all of my clients, past and present. I am unbelievably lucky to have the most incredible people in my life. I am who I am and where I am because of the people who believed in me and supported me.
