Iowa’s Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council (EMSAC) Chairman Dr. Doug Butzier died in a plane crash Monday evening near Dubuque. The Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services wishes to recognize his involvement with EMS in Iowa for many years, and extends condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Butzier. Iowa EMS System Standards Meetings

At the July EMS System Standards meeting the committee decided to change the meeting schedule for the remainder of 2014 and 2015. Instead of meeting monthly on the 3rd Thursday of each month, we will now meet every other month on the 2nd Thursday, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.

*Please note: there will be no meeting on August 21, 2014
